<description>Topic: Question about the forum + Question about Sandbox templates

Message: Thank you Scott for the fast answer.Maybe you remember me... I translated sandbox in Italian, once.Since that day I continued my work and now I have at least 25 websites done with sandbox.So I was wondering about a &#34;public repository&#34; of sandbox-based themes to give a look to when I start a new website.Thank you for your links, they are a good place from where to start.But don't you think that the website should be a little updated with maybe that files and new themes?Maybe you can use the official sandbox's theme page at Wordpress.org themes repository.I think that they are working to an &#34;update theme&#34; function, like the one they did for plugins.That would give to that sandbox's theme page (that IMHO is A LOT used) a lot of new visibility.Think about itNokao

<description>Topic: Question about the forum + Question about Sandbox templates

Message: When I moved the forums to forums.sndbx.org, I had some trouble with the saved PunBB database. Long story short, I lost everything. Apologies. :(As for collections of Sandbox theme templates, I'm not sure of a single place. Check the project home wiki, http://code.google.com/p/sandbox-theme/w/listBecause Adam did a great deal of work some time back adding a bunch of content to these pages. I actually keep the Sandbox theme templates I use in my own Google Code repo, which you can browse athttp://wp-theme-dev.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/All of these are Sandbox theme templates, except one (Reporterlog, which I made for my wife's site). I use sw3 on my personal blog, scottwallick.com. A word of warning about these, though, is that they are each tailor very specifically to my needs. While they'll work find, some have CSS and functions.php mods that affect what is displayed.Hope that helps.scott

Message: Thanks.&#160; Based on the sandbox and takimata themes.&#160; The only major improvement I made is a section of the takimata skin that allows for beautiful and tight journal-style printing.

<title>Change actual Template name? in Sandbox Theme : Sandbox Mods/Customizations</title>

<description>Topic: Change actual Template name?

Message: Hello,I love how you can change the name of the WP template so easily in the CSS of Sandbox, and WP-Admin recognizes it as a new template.However, I was wondering if there was a way (or the best way) to change the folder name of the theme from &#34;sandbox&#34; to something else.&#160; So that even if someone opened up your site and saw all your files they would look more like:/wp-content/themes/anythingiwant/style.cssIs there an easy way to do this?Thanks in advance!

<description>Topic: Some guidance and pointers

Message: Hi, I am not asking for someone to just do everything for me as the reason I want to use Sandbox is id like to learn CSS instead of just using what ive picked up over the years.I have a theme I have been designing for a week but it was all done from scratch and some copy paste here and there. I have run into so many issues with trying to keep to xhtml and browser friendly. Right now id like to restart and try again :rolleyes:I think sandbox would be great for this (Perfect in fact) as it would let me learn CSS and show me how wordpress works.Here is a link to what i have been working on so far: http://leedoyle.com/demo/It is MOSTLY finished and I could use it if i wanted... But it has issues with widgets and it just does not fit with what I wanted it to look like.HTML: Basic+CSS: BasicPHP: Bellow basicSQL: Bellow basic

<title>[PATCH] Making wp-comments-post.php look coherent in Sandbox Theme : Feature Requests/Discussion</title>

<description>Topic: [PATCH] Making wp-comments-post.php look coherent

Message: A customer of mine noticed that posting a comment without the required fields (comment, email, name...) drive the user to a page (created by wp-comments.post.php) which shows the output of wp_die() - that is not themed, of course.Perhaps it could be due to my ignorance but I find odd that WordPress templates rarely offer a customized way to show the comment’s output when the users forget to fill a field (or they fill it wrongly). Usually, they simply call wp-comments-post.php with its quite poor output.I’ve tried to go over this problem with a patch for Sandbox that is basically a reshuffle of wp-comments-post.php (with a custom wp_die()).The patch is available at this urlhttp://perassi.org/2008/09/03/customisi &#8230; s-postphp/Anyhow, thank you for your great work.

Message: Ian Stewart wrote:Code:add_filter( 'sandbox_menu', 'childtheme_menu' );
There is not a sandbox_menu() in sandbox/functions.php (or elsewhere): there is sandbox_globalnav() that is similar but if you1 - write your own my_globalnav() inside your my_child/functions.php2 - put (at the end of my_child/functions.php) a line like
Code:add_filter( 'sandbox_globalnav', 'my_globalnav' );
you don't get the expected result.So what do you mean? Thanks.

<title>Hiding a page in the navigation in Sandbox Theme : Sandbox Mods/Customizations</title>

<guid isPermaLink="false">154@http://forums.sndbx.org</guid>
<description>Topic: Hiding a page in the navigation

Message: New to PHP and WP modifications. I don't doubt there is an easy solution. I just don't know the answer yet.I would like to hide a page in the navigation on a site I made using Sandbox. selfdiscover.orgMy research on the WP Codex shows easily enough what the line of code is here codex.wordpress.org/Template_Tags/wp_li &#8230; _from_List
&#60;?php wp_list_pages('exclude=17,38' ); ?&#62;
Now I'm trying to figure out how to incorporate the exclude function (on the selfdiscover site) in the functions.php file?I see there are two section in this file that reference wp-page-list// Produces a list of pages in the header without whitespaceand// Page author for BODY on 'pages'Perhaps there is another method in Sandbox. Any suggestions or solutions will be appreciated.Thanks!dbone
